Astoria / Borsari

At the very heart of St. Petersburg, the legendary Astoria hotel has been welcoming guests for many years. Its building in the modern Nordic style was built according to the draft of the academician of architecture Fyodor Lidval who captured the spirit of the early 20th century. Nothing excessive, but rather elegant, delicate and at the same time monumental. Examining it closely, one can see carved oval medallions with garlands, cover plates, and masterfully matched granite, which was specially mined in the quarries near Vyborg.
